Our Vision and Goal

We strongly believe in community based eco-tourism, emphasizing the inclusion and development of the local communities and allowing them to be actively involved in the lodge’s management, development and profit making. By allowing the local communities to participate, they secure a sustainable source of income and therefore can maintaining their traditional way of life.

Next to that, we support existing community initiatives, respect community leaders and seek to employ local residents so that most of the income generated from tourism activities stay within the communities and contribute to the local economic development. Together, our goal is to create an authentic, luxurious and comfortable tribal themed re-treat, which caters to your every need and desires while exploring the vast beauty of the Omo Valley.

The southern
region of Ethiopia

Is often referred to as Ethiopia’s “wild” province: The Rift Valley is an unspoiled treasure, offering various lush National Parks, the Konso UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its terraced hillsides, an abundance of indigenous tribes and ethnicities as well as breathtaking views over the Omo River.

The region is known for its fascinating tribal communities within the Omo Valley, who still live their individual ancient and traditional lifestyles, each with their own customs, religious beliefs and languages. Explore the region with us and discover tribes such as the Hamer, famous for their bull jumping ritual, the Karo, with their incredible body paining, the Mursi, whose women wear clay plates in their lower lips and the Daasanech, with their mysterious cults and beliefs.
